7-Eleven Run 800 Postponed Anew to January 20, 2013

Seems that this run is not going to happen anytime this year. From their website posted today, September 19, 2012, the 7-Eleven Run 800 has been postponed again to January 20, 2013. This is the second time that this race has been postponed. Originally scheduled last August 26, this run was re-scheduled to October 14.

Tough luck for those registered here!

Here is their explanation for its postponement which was similar to the first one they gave:

With the recent rains that brought about floods and road damages in many parts of Manila, 7-Eleven Run 800, set on the Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX), is postponed to Sunday, January 20, 2013. This is to ensure that all roads to be used are safe for all participants.

Registered runners (paid) are Invited to join the run on this new date. If the new date is not favorable, please see http://www.run711.com/refund  for procedures.
Thank you for your understanding.

  2. Tough luck indeed, Sir. Me and my colleagues still have no idea how we will get our refunds because the store where we registered is under renovation…no forwarding store mentioned. Been emailing the reace organizers and posting in their FB page so this matter can be resolved…still no clear answers. I am beginning to wonder if we will still get back our registration fees…Tough!…and stressful…

    • Hi Aileen! Sorry to hear of your dilemma! But have you tried going into their website, here..http://www.run711.com/? There is a “REFUND Page” for procedures on how to refund.
Good luck and hope to see you at the races!:-)

    • Boyong, this race has been postponed several times already and there is no word yet if the January 20 date will push through. I’ll update this blog if any news surfaces.
