St. Peter Midnight Run 2013: A Halloween Run

It wasn’t spooky after all. I’ve had my reservations about attending a race launch which was going to be held at the 4th floor of a memorial chapel where you get to pass by rooms of grieving families attending the wakes of their departed love ones, the smell of flowers or maybe ride the elevator together with a casket bearing a dead lolo being transported to the upper floors.

That ,  in the midst of the raging monsoon rains outside brought about by Typhoon Odette!

However, it wasn’t eerie or anything like it but instead, the occasion had a fun Halloween party vibe to it! After-all, this was going to be the launch of the St. Peter (Memorial Chapel) Midnight Halloween Run on October 31, 2013 so what’s a better place to launch it than a place for the “dead”..

It was great to see Rovic Canono, Head of the Greentennial Run and organizers of this block-buster race last year at the helm anew this year with St. Peter as the main sponsor.

The launching of this race yesterday was lots of fun, replete with the St. Peter staff donning Halloween costumes, parlor games, raffle prizes, great food (not coffee and biscuits) and a sense of what’s in store for the October 31 race.

With scary costumes, several coffins, and the directorship of Rovic Canono, what more could you ask for a Halloween launch?

3K/5K/10K
Organizer: Greentennial Run

Registration Fee:
3K/5K/10K – PHP600 for any distance

– Inclusive of Finishers Shirt, race bibs and guidelines. No singlet

Experience a new kind of trick or treating while keeping fit. Join the St. Peter Midnight Run Happening on October 31, 2013, 10:00PM at the Metrowalk, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

Adults and children alike can take part in this lighter commemoration of All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days.  Exciting prizes await runners who will be in their best costumes and those who will conquer the different Haloween stations located mid-race such as the Haunted House, Kiss of Divas, Midnight Hunks and Cemetery!

The run will be held at exactly 10:00 PM in the Metrowalk, Ortigas, Pasig City. The run will have 3km, 5km, 7km and 10km run categories.

Interested participants may register at the following venues starting today until October 30, 2013 at a rate of P600.00:

• A Runner’s Circle,Roxas, Blvd, Manila

• Yonex, SM Megamall

• Secondwind Outlets (Ortigas Home Depot, Teachers’ Village, Greenhills G-Strip)

• Juego Outlets (Trinoma, Market Market, Greenbelt 4)

• Li-Ning Outlets (Mall of Asia, Alabang Town Center)

Race Kits may be claimed at the same sports store where you registered between September 5, 2013 to October 30, 2013. Your Race Kit will include the following items:  race number,  safety pins, race rules and guidelines.

Transferring or exchanging race bib numbers is not allowed.  A Finishers’ Shirt will be provided on the event day after the program. And in order to get that nice finishers shirt, you should get loop markers in the following zones along the course:
