The APO Hiking Society is an iconic trio of male pop singers who have transformed local musical scene for many decades with a refreshingly new and authentic Pinoy tunes that immediately captivated millions through a string of delightful and exuberant songs featuring catchy lyrics in Tagalog and Taglish that reflected the moods and sentiments of ordinary Filipinos.
With the great interaction of singers Danny Javier, Jim Paredes and Boboy Garovillo, their songs have endured through the years and remained a shining touchstone for the best and the finest in Original Pilipino Music (OPM).
For 40 plus solid years, their music still lingers today even after their retirement last 2010 and their music continues to be a pillar of musical tradition in the Philippines, popularizing the use of the term ”Original Pilipino Music” (OPM).
It is in this musical legacy that Berwin Meily of Runtarantantan is organizing a Fun Run on FEBRUARY 15, 2015 at the Blue Bay Walk near MOA as a tribute to their lasting contribution to Popular Filipino music.
