Wearing a pink shirt, logo or ribbon has become akin to expressing awareness and raising funds for breast cancer treatment. The cause itself is so undeniably great that thousands  of groups all around the world are spreading awareness of this silent enemy that has plague women for years.

Breast cancer claims hundreds of lives every year. It knows no demographics and can afflict your wife, daughter, mom, sister or friend. What’s alarming are not just the statistics of people afflicted with the disease but on the number of people whose lives could have been saved if only early, self detection was observed. Early detection remains the best weapon against the disease.

On October 10, 2015, the SM Mall of Asia grounds will be the venue of the AVON, I Share The Fight Against Breast Cancer RUN 2015. With celebrities Jennylyn Mercado and Rocco Nacino spearheading the campaign, this will be a 5k, and 10k Walk-Run with proceeds to be used to benefit the Breast Care Center of at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH).
