About three years ago, i had the privileged of attending the Sports Science Initiative (SSI), a two-day seminar series on Sports Nutrition, Sports Injury Management, Strength and Conditioning, Sports Psychology and Perspective in Sports Science held at the Medicine Hall of the University of Sto. Tomas.
During that time, i thought that this was an excellent venue for athletes, coaches, trainors and science experts to share ideas about sports physiology or sports science and as a runner, it has brought me a broader knowledge on topics like how to achieve peak performance, food choices, recovering techniques from exercise, dynamic vs. static stretching and a deep-well of information on the causes, prevention and treatment of sports injuries.
On August 17, a similar but more concise sports summit that targets RUNNERS who are planning to run longer distances like the marathon or ultramarathon will be held at the Jose Campos Hall, Bayanihan Center, 8008 Pioneer Street in Kapitolyo, Pasig City.
The ACTIVE HEALTH Runner’s Summit will be a whole day learning program for runners aspiring to progress better through the help of top coaches, sports science experts, and sports nutritionist. Sessions includes running physiologies and proper sports nutrition.
Registration fee is at P1,500.00 per participant and will include
