The Hoka One One Line-up

To those not yet in the know, you might be surprised at what you’ll see at the RUNNR Store at BGC and its many branches. A few days ago, the one brand you were probably asking (specially if you’re a trail runner) is when this would be released locally, has been finally launched and the HOKA One One joins the many other running shoe brands that have been staple to both road and trail runners alike for many years already.

With about seven (7) of their newest models being introduced, there’s no way we could recommend which shoe would be best for you, but for the trail running buffs like me, their best sellers are included in the selection, the Speedgoat-2 and the Challenger ATR 2.

The HOKAs have been a mainstay globally for the past 7 years. During those times, the brand developed a small but devoted following of trail runners (and later road runners), who liked the shoes’ over-sized wide body design, superb midsole cushioning, bounce and its light weight, going into the direction of being “maximalist”, as opposed to the uber- minimalist trend being introduced during Hoka’s infancy.

Among those models that were initially introduced were the Clifton, the Bondi, Mafate and Huaka, among a slew of others. Still, they evolved and are introducing new ones in the market.

If you’re one of those loyalists who liked the bouncy, maximalist feel of these old models, the newer ones won’t disappoint. These are pricey shoes but they work for the vast majority. Available at RUNNR Stores.

First 3 customers!

MANILA, Philippines – March 16, 2017 – RUNNR, the Philippines’ leading running specialty store, today announced the arrival of HOKA ONE ONE®, the award-winning French running shoe brand that is making significant global strides with its maximalist sole design.

HOKA ONE ONE started in 2009 when Ultra Marathon champion Nico Mermoud realized he needed shoes to help him run downhill faster while reducing the shock that took a toll on his legs. Mermoud then partnered with fellow athlete Jean-Luc Diard in engineering a shoe that had double the shock absorbing material than traditional running shoes and uniquely carved geometry that encouraged an efficient foot strike – thus the revolutionary lightweight running shoe brand was born.

Over the years, HOKA ONE ONE has become one of the most acclaimed running shoe brands in the world, winning multiple accolades from Competitor Magazine, Triathlete and Runners’ World. The continuous growth of HOKA ONE ONE can be attributed to runners of all types embracing the brand’s promise of delivering lightweight, well-cushioned shoes with an exceptional ride.

Recognizing the demand of the growing Philippine running community for quality and high-performing products, RUNNR, a member of the Quorum Group of Companies, will exclusively carry the HOKA ONE ONE shoe line in the Philippines, adding yet another premium item in its already impressive mix of running products.

Meb’s Skechers GOMeb

Move over Adidas, Brooks and Nike! There’s an emerging kid on the block making waves and is generating lots of interest in the running community! Quite a few eyebrows have been raised when Meb Keflezighi debuted Skechers new GOmeb Speed 3 shoes at the recent 2014 Boston Marathon winning it in 2 hours 8 minutes and 37 seconds!

Not many know that Meb has been wearing the Go Run and lately his signature model, the GOMeb Speed since 2011 and has since won numerous marathons and shorter races on it including the 2012 USA Olympic Trials and the Houston Marathon.

Skechers Philippines is now drum-beating its distinct models, the GORun and GOMeb (Speed) models which is experiencing brisk sales following the win of Meb at Boston. Designed for speed with improved performance technologies to promote a midfoot strike, it fosters a “barely there” experience while offering cushioning and impact protection.

The GOmeb Speed 3 shoes however has not yet been released globally but its earlier versions, the Speed 1 and Speed 2 are readily available in their local stores. Also worth mentioning is that the latest of their popular Go Run series, particularly the Go Run 3 will be made available in a few weeks time.

I would like to try out the latest iterations of the Go Run soon as they’re more cushiony than the original version which didn’t sit well with my feet. I think these shoes have come a long way in making inroads for the serious runner and based on reviews that i’ve read so far, the comments are mostly favorable.

Getting Meb to run and endorse the shoe was one great step in breaking into the vast market of performance running shoes and will all the positive responses it got, this brand will linger on for good!

Nice one, Skechers!

Skechers Go Run 3 available in May, 2014

PRESS RELEASE:

“With the support of the Skechers Performance Division by my side every step of the way, I have won for the city of Boston, and for the entire U.S.,” said Meb Keflezighi at his Boston Marathon presser.

Skechers GO Run ambassador and Americaâ’s #1 marathoner Meb led the pack of elite runners to the finish line in the 2014 Boston Marathon in his high-performance Skechers GO Run (GOMeb) shoes.

Skechers GO Meb, available locally

Meb’s victory became a feel-good story in the running community, following the devastating bombing incident in last year’s Boston Marathon as he is the first American to win in the prestigious Boston Marathon after three decades with a new personal-best time record of 2:08:37.

Vice President of Merchandising and Marketing for Skechers Performance Division Rick Higgins said, “We are so proud of Meb and his monumental accomplishment on what was clearly a very emotional day, if [he] can do it in Skechers shoes, so can you.”

The Skechers Performance Division first signed Meb in 2011 to represent the Skechers Performance Division as it launched its new footwear line. The Skechers GORun is designed for speed with its innovative M-Strike Technology to promote a mid-foot strike (two-point step: mid-toe), allowing more fluid and powerful strides than a heel strike (three-point step: heel-mid-toe).

Meb transitioned from a heel strike to a mid-foot strike runner with Skechers GORun, giving him an effortless and faster take off. Since that time, Skechers M-Strike Technology’s influence on the improvement of Meb’s PR (personal record) has been evident.

At 36, he ran in the NYC Marathon in Skechers GORun back in 2011 and posted a personal-best time in finishing sixth in New York that day, and then lowered it again in winning the U.S. Olympic trials just two months later. Meb also won more than five key races, including the U.S. Half Marathon Championship in Houston in January 2014, and the U.S. Olympic Trials in Houston in 2012.

While his winning the 2014 Boston Marathon might have come as a surprise to many given his age during the race was just two weeks before Meb turns 39, he attained greater achievements and established his personal best time record, running like a blur ever since he shifted to Mid-foot Strike Technology with Skechers GORun.

“It’s a pretty massive deal for a non-traditional running shoe company,” said Eric Smallwood, senior vice president of Front Row, a Philadelphia marketing and analytics company focused on sports. “If you’re a runner and you get a PR (personal record) in a new pair of shoes, you’re sticking with those.”

Are Skechers Performance shoes any good? Smallwood’s say: “They win marathons don’t they?”

Skechers Launches The Go Run 2

Buoyed by the success of its Go Run minimalist shoe, Skechers has recently launched the Go Run2. The Go Run 2 has been freshly improved, the upper has a more breathable and secure stretch mess and most important update is reducing the curve or the “bump” at the midsole that irritated many runners who wore the previous version of the shoe.

I was able to attend the launching of this shoe last week and i must say that i was mostly impressed by its new features, the much improved upper mesh and the different color combination that came with it. The features were explained by Ms. Kaye Ko, Products Consultant for Skechers and Skechers Running Ambassador/Triathlete Martin Lorenzo.

I wish i could test run this updated shoe and observe for myself how this stacks-up with the original Go Run which i fondly called the “Keflezighi Go Run” and was able to review previously, here.

Here are the salient features of the shoe and the Press Release that goes with it:

Run Faster with a Mid-Foot Strike

Do you want to run faster, stronger, longer? If you’re a runner looking for ways to enhance your efficiency, speed and overall performance, try looking into your running technique and re-think your shoe choice.

Global footwear leader Skechers launched GOrun2, the sequel of the successful GOrun performance shoe. This updated shoe helps runners run faster with a mid-foot strike, allowing them to achieve their personal best time.

Different color combinations are available

Skechers GOrun2:  Designed for Speed

Skechers has gone the extra mile by helping runners transition to more efficient mid-foot strike running rather than heel striking through its GOrun series. Skechers GOrun running shoes features the M-Strike Technology. Inspired by barefoot running, the principles of minimalism encourages runners to run more naturally by positioning the body for an efficient mid-foot strike in order to run faster, stronger, and longer.

More color combinations

Deemed to be the next generation of serious minimal running shoes, GOrun2 boasts of its GOimpulse sensors which are found underneath the soles. These make the wearer more responsive in running in any surface type. The shoe is made of breathable four-way stretch mesh toe panels and custom fit insole for comfort. The added Resalyte midsole absorbs the impact to prevent injuries.

Skechers GOrun2 features a minimal heel lift at 4mm to keep the foot in a nearly neutral position. The best part is its weight. GOrun2 is as lightweight as can be, allowing the wearer to run faster and more efficiently. Moreover, it comes in striking color combinations.

Accolades from the Elites

Skechers GOrun ambassador, Olympian marathoner and America’s fastest marathon runner Meb Keflezighi attributes his success to his trusty performance shoes of choice.

“Skechers’ new performance shoes change the way I run for the better,” said the number one marathon runner in the United States. “I’ve been a heel runner my entire life, but I am now wearing Skechers to maximize the efficiency of my foot strike. My shoes are my most essential piece of equipment and right now, Skechers has the footwear I need to succeed,” added Keflezighi.

Skechers Ambassador/Triathlete, Martin Lorenzo

Ms. Kaye Ko (L) and Ms. Niza Forschler, Skechers PR Manager

Filipino top age grouper tri-athlete Martin Lorenzo believes that it is crucial to look for the right lightweight shoe that promotes a mid-foot strike to avoid or lessen injuries and improve on speed and efficiency. He recounted his search for the perfect pair of running shoes to accompany him in his races. The tedious task ended when he found Skechers GOrun 2.

“I bought myself different pairs of shoes and tested each one. What came on top is the Skechers GOrun 2. It is well-designed, lightweight, very comfortable, and well-ventilated for our tropical climate. It exceeded my expectations on every count,” shared Lorenzo, a consistent podium finisher in his age category and a passionate athlete who races in local and international triathlons and marathons.

Lorenzo added that “Skechers GOrun2 makes a great transitional shoe for runners who are still heel striking.  Adopting the mid-foot strike is important for runners who want to improve on their running technique and speed.   With Skechers GOrun2, no matter how you force yourself to run heel strike, it forces you to land mid-foot for easier transition.”

Shoe Review: Saucony Kinvara 3

PROFILE:

Neutral Trainer/Racer:

  • Lightweight but well-cushioned shoe designed for training and racing
  • 4mm heel to toe drop, a transition shoe to minimalist running
  • Promotes mid-foot strike
  • Weight: 8.0 oz. (Size 10)

Saucony Progrid Kinvara-3

Many of you may well know that i have been a Saucony user since the early 80s and have tried different models through the years. I like them for their great fit, adequate cushioning and stability. There isn’t any model that didn’t suit me and all my Sauconys found hundreds of running miles into them.

Saucony has a terrific series with its Kinvara, incorporating minimal changes into its latest series that accentuates its minimalist properties. With all the generally glowing reviews given to all its models, the original Kinvara, Kinvara 2 and 3, this will be my first time to actually own and use one and i’m talking here about the Kinvara 3.

You can tell at first glance that the Kinvara-3 is a fast, lightweight shoe. It was originally designed as a high mileage trainer for runners who naturally strike at mid-foot and is touted as a transition shoe for minimalist running. Though i am not too inclined wearing minimalist shoes or those with the heel to toe zero drop on long runs, this shoe has a tolerable 4mm heel-toe drop that i didn’t exactly notice when revving along the roads or trails.

This shoe has already come out with a lot of reviews on the net so i won’t dwell with much of the technicalities anymore and will just focus more on my experience with it.

Here are just a few basic details about this shoe:

CONSTRUCTION:

The upper is a visual delight, artistically designed to enhance its aesthetics. Cosmetics aside, it’s made of  “FlexFilm”, a sturdy but flexible thin plastic-like material that is electronically welded into an inner mesh. It adapts to the foot and provides a seamless feel. The tongue is made of soft air-mesh.

The midsole is made of high-abrasion EVA or the EVA+ which provides adequate cushioning even with its 4mm heel to toe drop. The EVA+ has been retained from its Kinvara 1 and 2 models as wear-testers noted its durability and longevity. It has also its usual Progrid heel foam.

The Kinvara-3 outsole is made of Carbon Rubber called the XT-900. It has triangular lugs on the forefoot area that offers exceptional traction and high-wear properties.

It is noteworthy to mention that reflectors have been integrated into the design. Two triangular-shaped reflectors were placed on the heel counter as well as on the sides of the toe area and at the top front, near where the shoe laces start.

FIT AND FEEL:

I was a little apprehensive about the fit inside as when you look at the shoe externally, the forefoot seems not to be wide enough. But looks can be deceiving. Once inside the shoe, you could immediately feel the snugness and secure heel cup while the forefoot was accommodating even with my wide feet and thick socks on.

At about 8 oz or less, the shoe was super light and even with the 4mm heel to toe drop, i could not feel the difference from my usual 8mm to 12mm drop shoes. It profiles more like a racing shoe than a trainer.

PERFORMANCE:

I’ve had about 70 kilometers of training runs on the Kinvara-3 and i would say that i had a sublime feel running these on both asphalt and rough roads. No issues about hot spots, irritations, nor dragging. It offers a soft, resilient ride and feels more comfortable at faster speeds which may be due to the easy flexing upper.

On my long runs, i felt ample cushioning and the airmesh provided superb breathability, no over-heating inside whatsoever. The shoe was easy on the rough roads and even though i had to step on small rocks, the feel to these surfaces was moderate and i thought that the cushioning was adequate enough to impact rough terrain.

I have the Skechers GO Run and a Vibram Five Finger (Speed) which i would say are more of the minimalist shoes that i’ve used, i would say that the Kinvara-3 falls in a sweet spot between a true minimalist trainer like the aforementioned and a semi-supportive middleweight trainer, encouraging a fast, efficient stride but with adequate cushioning to pass as a road trainer.

CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION:

I bought this shoe at 50% discount from Saucony Philippines given as a gratuity for bloggers who attended the Kinvara’s launching last December to test this shoe. However, this review was not in anyway influenced by this benefit, giving my own honest opinion based on my experience with it.

Nonetheless, the Kinvara 3 for me was a confirmation to the mostly rave reviews from prominent running shoe reviewers and runners on the net. Firstly, the fit was excellent, the ride was very comfortable with just the right amount of cushioning in almost any terrain and its the shoe that you can use for everyday training or the occasional racing.

This shoe is for efficient runners who want a lightweight, good midsole cushioning and forefoot flexibility.  An excellent running shoe and at P4,590.00/pair, it’s a bang for the buck!

Delays and Stuff

I’ve been really lagging behind my shoe reviews. Although i’m not yet beyond the 6 months time frame given to me by some benefactors, i did reneged when i told them that they would come out not later then 3 months, at most. Yay!

One shoe was already de-commissioned even before i could make a review of it. 🙂

I’ve lined them up and get the reviews done real soon. Regrets too that i kept many readers waiting. So Sorry!:-(

The Saucony Kinvara-3 Comes To Manila

Within only the first 3 years since its introduction, the Saucony KINVARA series has been an overwhelming success in the world of minimalist running shoes winning various industry awards for their innovations, new technologies and favorite sports shoes in the running world.

Similar to the popularity of Saucony’s once revered old model, the JAZZ, the KINVARA has been well received, not only from the minimalist shoe enthusiasts but also to the majority of runners seeking a well-balanced, all-purpose running shoe. The Kinvara and the Kinvara-2 have accumulated a long list of following and it has maintained its fine performance and dependability.

Now comes its 3rd iteration, the KINVARA-3 which is now made available in the Philippines.

I was able to attend this shoes’ launching a few days ago and from the looks and feel of it, having tested it for a few strides at the Riovana Store, i think many are going to love its fit, looks and responsiveness.

I’m really tempted to get a pair but while still contemplating to do so, here’s a short write-up of the shoe taken during its launching:

The Saucony Kinvara-3

Saucony launches the award winning KINVARA – 3

Industry’s Most Highly Anticipated Shoe of the Season is now in the Philippines

Today, Saucony unveils the all-new Kinvara 3, the industry’s most highly anticipated shoe of the season and the third update to the brand’s award-winning natural motion running shoe.  Saucony continues to inspire runners to find their personal “strong” through running with the much-anticipated arrival of Kinvara 3.  The all-new Kinvara 3 is the third edition of the iconic Kinvara, a minimalist shoe that is renowned for being lightweight and highly responsive.

Of all the shoes released by Saucony, runners and retailers are especially excited by the new Kinvara 3,” said Chris Lindner, chief marketing officer for Saucony. “The Kinvara was among the first natural motion running shoes available in the marketplace and positioned Saucony as an industry leader in the category. The Kinvara 3, an even better technical running shoe than its predecessors, delivers more than a great shoe: It inspires an incredible running experience. People just can’t wait to get it on and go.”

Saucony is a top name in running, an authentic performance footwear brand.  Throughout the years, Saucony has become legendary with its trailblazing innovations and cutting-edge technological expertise, including pioneering the minimalist shoe category – the buzz in the running community today.

Kinvara 3: So Much Technology, So Little Shoe

The next-generation Kinvara, weighing only 7.7 ounces (based on a men’s size 9), is a performance training shoe with a 4mm heel-to-toe offset that positions the runner’s foot during impact in a way that creates a greater range of motion than traditional running shoes (with a 12mm heel-to-toe offset) for the Gastrocnemius-Soleus-Achilles tendon system, allowing for a more powerful running stride.

Taken during the launching

Saucony has taken the Kinvara 3 to a whole new level with a precision engineered upper that is lighter and more flexible thanks to FlexFilm™ technology, a lightweight, highly dynamic flexible film affixed onto the breathable mesh upper that secures and stabilizes the foot throughout the gait cycle. Memory Foam heel pods in the collar ensure an ultra-secure ride.

Saucony’s high abrasion EVA exposed foam midsole allows for lightweight protection underfoot, while maximizing rebound and flexibility. After studying wear patterns on thousands of test shoes, Saucony adjusted the outsole design on the new Kinvara 3 to increase durability and promote an even smoother transition.

XT-900 carbon rubber pods were strategically placed on parts of the Kinvara 3’s outsole for enhanced durability without adding weight. The reengineered outsole includes a beveled heel to better facilitate a natural rolling movement from heel to toe.

About the Award-Winning Kinvara

The Saucony Kinvara, launched in early 2010, has been recognized with numerous industry awards including:

“Best Debut” (Runner’s World magazine, Summer 2010);

PRESS RELEASE:

Introducing high-performance gear designed for the country’s extreme weather conditions:

Southeast Asia faces its annual wet and cool season through the monsoon months, with the highest rainfall at the end of every year. Running in the rain can be an exhilarating experience, but it can be dangerous as well. Wet tracks reduces grip, and reduces visibility.

The rain should not deter runners from their runs, and this Holiday ’12 season, Nike introduces products to keep runners dry, protected and comfortable.

The NIKE SHIELD PACK– a collection of running footwear to suit each unique running style –is  updated with the Nike Shield technology, igniting runners every day and night of this season no matter rain or shine. It features a highly reflective inner sleeve that performs triple duty—it’s reflective even in dim light for safety; it makes a barrier that resists water in wet conditions, but stays breathable; and the reflectivity adds some flash to the look.

The Shield Pack collection consists of the NIKE FREE RUN+ 3 SHIELD, NIKE LUNARECLIPSE+ 2 SHIELD and NIKE PEGASUS+ 29 SHIELD.

So in this wet, rainy season, there is no reason not to continue running.

Shoe Review: Adidas Response Stability 4

BACKGROUNDER:

Stability Trainer:

  • For runners who need good medial and lateral support and midsole cushioning
  • Great moderate pronation control that can be felt guiding and correcting the foot while in motion.
  • Stable ride with adequate amount of cushioning
  • Weight: 11.5 oz (size 9 1/2)

Adidas already has one of the best stability shoes in the market, the Supernova Sequence and it’s latest incarnation is the Sequence 5. I had some very good experience with their Sequence 3 model which i first tested 2 years ago and i would say that it was of the best stability shoe i ever had and i’m still using it up to this day.

It would be easy to overlook this new RESPONSE STABILITY 4 model because of the more popular Sequence but the Response Stability 4 is just as great! This is the first time i’m testing this series and i’m pretty satisfied with it’s performance so far.

Even though it doesn’t have the flashy upper and the pleasing look of the Sequence, the Response Stability series is still one of the mainstays of the Adidas line because of its hordes of followers.

CONSTRUCTION:

Construction wise, most of Adida’s newer models don’t deviate much from its predecessors. The designs are simple, but very well constructed and this particular model has a wider 3 stripes design with a thin reflectorized strip that runs across the middle of each stripe.

The upper has synthetic overlays that enhance durability and support. The medial post of the Stability 4 called Pro-Moderator is very visible with its colored (red) lining that runs at the arch of the mid-sole. The Adiprene, Adidas’ elastic inserts located at the forefoot and heel gives the shoe its propulsion and cushioning from impact to toe-off.

This model still uses its ADIWEAR blown-rubber outsole which gives it high-wear durability.

FIT and FEEL:

Now for the first time, i found an Adidas model that is wide-bodied than any of their other models i’ve tried. I particularly like the roomy toe-box which an adidas wearer should know is not one of their strong points and i’m now even using thick socks on this pair which posed no cramping and adjusting inside.

It has more than adequate cushioning on the midsole and tongue and similar to the Sequence, the fit is comfortable, snug but not too controlling.

PERFORMANCE:

This shoe had its baptism of fire on the hot concrete roads around Mall of Asia to Roxas Blvd and Macapagal Avenue. Cushioning was very adequate running on hard concrete without feeling any soreness right after the 17 km run. Again, at the asphalt jungle of Ortigas Center this time, the shoe felt responsive and during the downhill crest along Julia Vargas Street, the foothold came firm and stable but did not impinge my gait nor foot stride.

I also like the smooth ride of this shoe and the consistent cushioning whether i adjust to heel striking or whenever it goes mid to forefoot strike when i go uphills.

At 11.8 oz, this shoe is by no means very light but that’s counter balanced by the easy flexing smoothness and its ability to rev-up to higher speeds when necessary. Oh yeah, you try to rev-up when you know that your lagging behind your friends! The medial-post did its job well as i didn’t feel any “rock and roll” problems inside the shoe even when running on uneven surface.

CONCLUSION and RECOMMENDATION:

The Response Stability 4 gets high marks from me for its support, cushioning and comfort.

I would recommend this for mild to moderate over-pronators, stability- oriented runners who wants a blend of cushioning and stability.

A Quick Peek Of The Skechers’ GO RUN Running Shoe (Part 1)

Santa came knocking on my door this Christmas and left me one of his small sacks which contained some running shoes, well just two which was for me to review and post in this blog. I got Skechers’ new running shoe, the GO RUN and the New Balance 880.

I’m not going to give a comprehensive review on these shoes just yet as i’ve just wore-tested them at home and outside just to get the feel of it. I couldn’t resist to try the GO RUN shoes though, as i was curious about the review given by top American marathoner Meb Keflezhigi who wore the Go Run in setting his personal record of 2:09:13 and placing 6th at last month’s New York City Marathon.

The shoe just weigh a 7 oz. on my size 10 feet and felt feather-like as i warmed up for an 18 km run. There’s a bit of a “lump” on the middle of my arch or under the midfoot which sort of softened the impact. The rocker stance is less pronounced here than their SRR or Liv models and the usual cut-off under the heels is still present to encourage a mid-foot strike which it did, exactly like the LIV model and that’s coming from a heel striker like me.

The 18km run was a bit of a mixed feeling.. soft, light  and very comfortable although i was consciously landing on my mid-foot all the time which takes a while to get used to. I like the wide toe box and the fit was excellently snug. There was enough cushioning on the shoe although i wish they would have put more of it in the forefoot. The downside of it though was after the run, i felt some heat below the big toe and had i ran 2 kms more, i would have developed a blister at the big toe mound. I should have applied a lubricant or a petroleum jelly as i usually do when trying out new shoes.

Aside from this minor discomfort, i found the shoe very responsive, a definite shoe for racing or fast paced training. Light and fast-paced runners will definitely like its soft underfoot and spring-like response upon toe lift.

I’ll be making a comprehensive review once i try this out on different surfaces and get more mileage on it. But judging from this initial test run, Skechers might have already delivered a winner. The shoe brand is getting serious with their running!:-)

Skechers Pro Speed: A True Running Shoe

There’s a new running shoe on the block! And this is more of the real McCoy than their previous version, the Skechers Resistance Runner (SRR) which I reviewed months ago here. The new Skechers is called Pro Speed and is much lighter, agile and looks more of a running shoe. I was able to test run the shoe for a few minutes on the treadmill and the performance and feel seems promising. I cant give a comprehensive review right now as, I’ve said, I just got to try it for a few minutes to get its feel.

The Pro Speed was launched last night at its main store at the Market! Market! Mall in Taguig and it had as a special guest, Miss Chinggay Andrada, a certified professional Fitness Trainer and co-host to the popular local reality tv series, The Biggest Loser. Chinggay is one gregarious host, very friendly, far from the stern personality she has with the show’s contestants.

Also met the pretty Katrina Ong, Marketing Communications Officer of Skechers and their efficient service staff.

A short description of the shoe:

  • The ProSpeed SRR features the patented Smart Shoe™ Technology, the rocker-bottom that guides runners into mid-foot strike position. This mid-foot strike design transforms the energy of impact, through the Kinetic Return System, into forward motion with every stride.
  • The shoes literally give runners a spring in their step as they feel a distinctive bounce forward upon toe-off or push off,”
  • The Skechers ProSpeed SRR is also lightweight due to the Resalyte™ cushioning with memory retention that reduces impact for a supported, comfortable ride during runs. Each ProSpeed comes in just under 10 oz. per shoe depending on the size.
