Set on a southern extension of Pililia, Laguna and the Jalajala peninsula, this race meanders along wooded single track routes riddled with an endless string of rolling climbs. Grueling is putting it lightly specially on the first 5 kms of the uphill climb. This is a trail race purportedly for beginners, but it puts these newbies to test where they encounter rocks, relentless uphills, and stream crossings which are among the many obstacles set on this mountainous part of Laguna.
This mountain run is not for people who are looking to set a fast pace but I would recommend it to those looking to deviate from trail events in Rodriguez and challenge themselves with a difficult but doable trail run, specially the newbie trail runner. It’s a whirlwind adventure that combines the spirit of trail racing with the ruggedness of an all- natural surroundings.
