International shoe brand HOKA One One made a splash a year ago when RUNNR and Toby’s Sports Stores introduced the Hoka brand trail and road running shoes in the country. It had made big strides from there, making the shoes one of the popular trail running shoes in the country today. And now, to make its presence more felt, it is emerging in the Philippine triathlon scene and will be a special edition for one year only.
Quorum International Inc., the parent company of leading sports retailers RUNNR and Toby’s Sports, and the official distributor of HOKA ONE ONE in the country, today announced that it has partnered with Sunrise Events Inc., the organizer of IRONMAN Philippines, to make HOKA the official shoe of the first full-distance IRONMAN in the country. The race, which will be held in Subic Bay on June 3, 2018, will be a special edition for one year only, marking the 10th anniversary of Sunrise Events.
HOKA, the award-winning running shoe brand that is making significant global strides with its maximalist shoe design, has seen worldwide popularity among triathletes over the years, both locally and internationally. Last year, HOKA was the number one shoe brand worn at the 2017 IRONMAN World Championships in Kona, Hawaii, which was participated by 2,455 of the best triathletes from around the world.
